My first mother - daughter talk...

Georgia and I just got up and I was changing her diaper and getting her dressed for the day. While she was jabbering and fluctuating her sweet little voice to get her point across... the sweetest moment that I'll never forget happened.

Mommy: Let's get dressed so we can go outside and water the garden and play with the bubbles!

Georgia: Outside, bubbles!

Mommy: That's right, so help me get your shirt on so we can go outside.

Georgia: Mommy, go bye bye!

Mommy: We're going to go outside, not bye bye.

Georgia: Go bye bye...

Mommy: Well where do you want to go bye bye to?

Georgia: Outside!

Mommy: Where outside?

Georgia: Mimi, Papa!

Mommy: Oh my word little girl! Well we're going to see Mimi and Papa later, okay?

Georgia: *shrill scream of excitement*

Ahh, my first mother - daughter talk, it wasn't about boys crushing her , friends being mean, or questioning my parenting (I'm sure these will come later). Just a simple conversation as to what we should to for the day! I may have been still waking up and had the conversation in my head, but none the less, it was a treasured moment I will never forget!

Happy 3 Month Birthday Georgia Peach!

Miss Georgia is 3 months today! I can't believe how time has flown by. I feel like it was just yesterday they lifted her up and I heard her sweet voice for the first time. She's a beautiful little girl and she has so much personality it cracks me up! There is no doubt in my mind that she will be capable of great things as she continues to grow up!

Happy Mother's Day!

It has been a GREAT Weekend! John surprised me with a weekend trip to Monterey for my 1st Mother's Day and our 2nd Anniversary! Pictures to come...

Georgia's first Play Date!

So today my friend Ashley and I got together and got some much needed adult conversation in while our two little ones had a play date!

Both Ashley and I found out within days of each other that we were pregnant, we found out the same week what we were going to be having... and we also found out we have the EXACT same due date! What are the odds? It was fun having someone else in the same phase as you... we definitely compared the symptoms and kicks that we were having!

Logan was induced (just like Georgia) 2 weeks earlier than me because his sweet mommy had high blood pressure (another symptom that we had in common)!

It was exciting to get the text updates with her progression and then finally the picture of her sweet little boy!!! Yay, he'd finally made into the world!

Also today we found out the are on the same schedule... almost to a T! When I arrived at her place they BOTH had poopy diapers, then they both were hungry... then they both feel asleep! I swear these two were made for each other! :)

I'm so sad that I didn't get to catch her chuckle on camera... but my oh my did it melt my heart! This little girl is growing and changing right before my eyes... she's changing even while she sleeps! Oh, how much I love her!

Sunday Special!

Yay! Today Georgia and I finally made it out to church!

We originally were going to go last Sunday but because of this lovely growth spurts she's going through... mommy didn't get much sleep and was FINALLY able to craw into bed about an hour before service started. So it was a no go.

We've had to stay pretty close to home these past several weeks due to her losing weight early on, then not gaining weight the way the Dr. would have liked. So we were advised to stay out of large groups of people (who would mob her and kiss all over her) till she was back above her birthday weight... which was on March 12th!

We were very excited to listen to the awesome music that she kicked to for the past nine months in my belly and hear a great message!

So here's to many more Sundays! Plus we hope to go and listen to daddy lead worship next week in youth!!! Was a special treat that would be!

Thankful for Thursday!

Ahh, Thursday! Only one more day till Spring!

Today was a pretty laid back day for us girls. We've been on the go a lot this week so we stayed home in our PJ's till daddy got home from work!

Just a few highlights from our lazy day:

During tummy time miss Georgia fell asleep! Silly girl. I put her down on her play mat while I clean some of her bottles out... I noticed she was pretty quite (not normal for her). So I went to go check on her and this is what I saw!




I've been trying to get back in the swing of things (ie: cleaning, cooking, cleaning, laundry, cleaning...) I'm sorry but when you have the cutest little girl begging to play with you... well you get the idea! So today during Georgia's after noon nap I took a shower and actually got out of PJ's for the first time today and made the most yummy meat loaf ever! Oh boy was it good! And while it was cooking we went for our first family walk!


Things are going really well and baby g is sleeping the night away! Thank you Jesus!!! We have one late night feeding then to bed we go, then she wakes up somewhere around 4-6am, depending when we went to sleep and then we go back for a little cat nap and rise and shine around 9am! It's great and I'm SO grateful!

I'm so sorry for the lack of postings lately!

But really... blogging or holding my baby girl?! I knew you would understand!

I'm in the process of "back blogging" in hopes of getting everyone up to speed.

But in short, it's been a great 3 weeks and I'm loving being a mommy... this IS my purpose in life!

Weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces and 21 inches long.

We were planned to be induced on Friday morning but my water broke Thursday afternoon which ended up with me being hooked up to pitocin for over 5 hours. The labor never progressed and we decided to take her via C-Section. All is well and we're just "resting", feeding, changing diapers, feeding... changing diapers and loving on our little girl!
