Well today is miss Georgia's due date and she still seems happy as can be in her mommies tummy!
Here are the stats:
Dilated: 2cm
Effacement: 80%
Station - 1
Blood Pressure: A little high
Sugars and Protein: N/A
So my membranes have officially been stripped THREE times in the last week... YUCK! And still no progress. So if Georgia doesn't come in the next few days... Friday (yes the 13th) we go in at 6am (don't they know I sleep in!) to be induced. YIKES!
Normally this wouldn't faze me but I'm a little scared as far was G's size goes. She's measuring on the big side and because this is my first baby my Dr says I have an uncertain pelvis, meaning she doesn't know how it will react to a big baby.
So here are the probabilities:
We go in get induced and she's born just fine!
Induced and her head is delivered but could have shoulder dysplasia (Not good).
Induced and labor doesn't progress and we go in for a C-Section.
So needless to say I'm a little nervous! It's nice to know now the "day" that she'll be here, but it's also a little scary not knowing how and what the delivery hold for both her and myself.
I know God has it under control but because she is so big there leave a lot of uncertainty of how things might go.
We'll bring the computer in hopes to keep the blog updated but can't promise anything!
We would greatly appreciate any prayers that John and I have peace during the whole induction and that both Georgia and I will continue to stay healthy and safe during the labor and delivery.
Thanks so much! We can't wait to share her with everyone!
We were married on May 26, 2007 and are in the throws of being new home owners and new parents! We're excited about what God has planned for us and can't wait to share it with you!

I'm going to be a MOM!
This is very exciting because I just got the call from my Dr. that If I go into labor anytime after today to just go in and have her...Yeah, that's what I'll do, I'll just go in and have a baby!?
This boggles my mind. There is so much planning involved. I mean it takes 3/4 of a year just to create this life and months upon months of ready books that all say different things. Then there is the countless hours spent with your Dr. and sometimes not with your Dr. The cleaning, the laundry, the organizing, the sleepless nights... the swelling!
And I'm just supposed to go and have her? But I'm not ready!
I thought I was, really I did, I've "raised" kids before, I've had my fair share of babysitting, nannying... you name it!
But I'm going to become a MOM, I now am in charge of someone else's life, for every decision that needs to be made... Wow, am I ready for this?
I've been so lucky to have such a wonderful relationship with my own mom and I treasure it on a daily basis. I sometimes feel like I'm a 5 year old girl again and just looks at my mom in awe and wants to be just like her, the compassionate, imaginative, and loving person she is.
I can only hope to be a fraction of what she has been in my life. She's been my laughter, my tears, my hope and most importantly my mom!
I'm so blessed to have this opportunity to become a mom and share all the wonderful experience I've had, with Georgia.
I pray every day that my relationship with Georgia will grow and blossom into what I hope I have with my own mom. Because one day she's not going to be my baby that fit into my arms, nor the toddler that will give me kisses when ever I ask, nor the pre-teen that opens up and talks about boys, nor the teenager that rolls her eyes at me... but a woman who will one day be a mom herself.
Mom,
I love you and can't imagine not having you in my life. All your goofy crazy moments and all the hard and sad ones too, they've made our relationship stronger with each laugh and tear we've shared! You're my mom and I'm so glad you're in my life and Georgia's!

6th Month Dr. Appointment
And my last... as far as months go. I'm officially going and seeing my Dr. every other week now... I don't know if I have time for that?!
It was a pretty uneventful appointment. Weight, blood pressure (more on this), pee in a cup (sorry), questions and then meet with the Doc.
Weight is great, I've only gained 4 lbs. the whole pregnancy. Obviously this will change in the coming weeks as miss Georgia is packing on the pounds... and in turn so will I.
Blood pressure, usually low... but today, not so much. The nurse said it was borderline and that she wanted to check it again... so she did and it dropped, quite a bit. So who knows what's up with that. But because high blood pressure can cause some serious problems while pregnant, they've got me on close watch and want me to keep an eye out for any signs of Preeclampsia (VERY serious!). So please pray that it was just a fluke from a very busy and hectic day and nothing serious!
Her heart beat sounds good. Again, very loud... I actually thought it was mine. She's getting to the point where her heart beat sounds actually like a heart beat, not just some fast swooshing sound.
Like I said, I'm officially in the every other week club, as far as appointments go... that's A LOT when you think about it. Then in January I go to EVERY week... Yikes, if that doesn't put things in fast forward, I don't know what does. Next appointment: Friday, Dec 5th!
Keep on growing and moving Baby G... we can't wait to see you in 2.5 months!

5 Month Dr. Appointment
Everything looks good!

It was a little comical watching the Dr. trying to find the heart beat though. Each appointment before this Georgia has always been really low and pretty much in one spot... but now that she is just a little over a pound (even though I blame her for more) she is starting to pick side of my belly! I can actually feel when she is favoring a side.
It took the Dr. a few minutes to try to get it and chase her down because she was moving... but finally she got it, and it was LOUD! Louder than I have ever heard it, I even asked the Dr. if the volume was turned up, she said nope... it only has one volume! Yikes!
They measured my belly, which I'm two weeks ahead... who knows what that means? Big baby or early deliver... lets hope for the later!
Everything seems to be going well and I get to see my Primary Dr. the next time I go in, which is the week before Thanksgiving!
Thanks for all the prayers to keep our little one safe and growing strong!

Excited and Anxious!
Tomorrow is the BIG day! I can't believe it's here... and at the same time, it feels like the last 3 weeks have been the longest of my life! I'm so excited to find out just who this little baby is (boy or girl), while also anxious because all of this is starting to feel real and I know that once we find out who Baby G is there is going to be this huge moment of reality. Yes we're pregnant, yes we're going to be parents, yes we're going to have a baby... but there is something about knowing if you're going to have a son or daughter.
John and I have been praying that God prepares our heart as we prepare to bring this baby into our lives. Being that Baby G was a wonderful surprise blessing, the reality that I'm pregnant has been a bit surreal for me. And I having that connection between my son or daughter will make it all the more real.
We're excited and can't wait to start "REALLY" planning for this little one growing inside of me. I promise I'll update the blog tomorrow as soon as we tell our family first... so please be patient while you wait to find out if...
